Favorite Places to Travel
1. Taiwan- Warning, I maybe be a little biased and prideful with this one. Taiwanese people are known for their hospitality, and it is true. Don't be surprised if you go to a store and they give you plenty of free gifts. Taiwan has beautiful scenery, museums, and culture to awe at. Plus, taiwanese mandarin accents are SO beautiful (lol yeah...a little biased here). What a beautiful country that I miss so much!
2. New York- The hustle and bustle of New York is one of the special features in the big apple. You will never run out of things to do. I suggest going to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Statue of Liberty, shopping of course!, empire state building, eating at lots of restaurants, and maybe seeing something on Broadway.
3. Japan- Now I probably wouldn't suggest going anytime soon (all prayers to those who are suffering in Japan!). This country has lots of good food and lots of things to do. You definitely will not get bored with hot springs, kawaii food, and shopping. Be aware, things are expensive here.
4. Los Angeles- Ah LA, where many people dream of going. If you're really into shopping and the glamorous appearance of Los Angeles, I really do suggest going there. The almost year round sun is true, trust me.

I'm a minimal girl. If I ever wear makeup (which is like once a month or only in private) these are my favorites. Also I'm including some of my skincare products!
1. Carmex- This is an absolute must. Out of all lip balms, this one is my favorite. If you have chapped lips, you should try this! Carmex used to be the only product that would cure my dry flaky lips.

My Weird Dreams
1. Kpop Star: I've had this recent dream to be a kpop star. I know this is incredibly weird, especially for me having no talents whatsoever. I know the stress in a kpop star's life to be skinny, have sleepless nights, and work till they're extremely tired. However, for some reason, this idea still appeals to me. One day I'll have the guts to go for an audition, just to try and see what happens. I'm almost 100% sure I won't make it, but I don't want to go my entire life without trying.
2. Audition for a Play: Same thing as the goal before. I don't want to feel like I've never tried. I honestly don't know where my acting skills stand, since I've never had the courage to audition for something while trying my best. I'm one of the most shy people ever, yet I love the idea of starring in a play, even just a school play.

Recent Trends I Like
1. Gold Makeup
I think gold can really make people's eyes pop. It is also a nod towards the soon coming of summer.
2. Color Blocking
When done correctly, color blocking can really highlight your body nicely. Remember, the areas where the different colors clash is where the attention will be brought. This is a good trend to go for if you want to catch someone's eye. Summer fling, anyone? Just kidding :)
3. Different Styles of Braids
I'm loving the new twists on the classic braid. I really like the rope, fishtail, and french braid styles that are showing up. Braids look especially boho chic in updos, or paired with headbands.
4. Ombre
Ombre nails, clothes, and hair are totally in right now. The only thing I'm not really a fan of is the ombre hair. To me it just looks like someone whose had their roots grow out for a really long time! Sorry, but we're all entitled to our opinion. If you have ombre hair, rock it!

Every day I hear girls whine about being alone, single, or how much it sucks not having a boyfriend. Honestly, I like being single. Have I ever had a boyfriend? No. Do I want one? No. Will I have one eventually? Maybe. I'm not looking for a relationship. If one comes along, then it happens. I've been asked out, but I haven't liked someone since like...5th grade? Yeah. Sometimes you need independence more than anything. If you want to be my boyfriend, you're going to have to work hard for it.

Freshman Wrap Up
Yes, I know, I still have one month till the school year is over. It feels crazy, so much has happened this year and so quickly too. I've really grown as a person and I've learned a lot. I can honestly say the first semester of ninth grade was the best time of my life. I had an amazing, small, group of friends which included my best friend. We hung out as a group and ate lunch together every day. I've never felt like I was a part of something till that moment of time.
Right after the semester ended, my best friends moved eight hours away. I'm not going to lie, I was devastated. I still am to this day. Our group moved indoors into a larger group, we're not close at all. Now all I feel is completely out of place, the feeling I have had every year. I miss being close with people. Now I don't really have a best friend, only a couple good friends and a lot of acquaintances. I'm hoping this will change eventually.
My grades, on the up side, have been consistently at a 4.0. I'm scared for next year since my schedule will include:

AP Chemistry
AP World
English 10 Honors
Alg II/Trig Honors
Apparently, if I take AP Chem, I have signed myself up for no life xD. I hope I can take the work load and brain power.

Pet Peeves
Not serious post for the win! Okay, I know you're reading, so you might not understand my humor. In no way am I trying to be offensive, these are just my personal opinions, and I'm totally kidding!
1. When people chew, unnecessarily loudly. Just the noise drives me crazy. You do not by any means, need to clamp your jaws together like your food is going to run away from you. I promise, it will not.
2. When people LEAVE MY BATHROOM LIGHT ON. Okay, sorry for the caps and bold (that's when you know it's intense), but I swear everybody does this. Sometimes people swear they only do it in my house, and never anywhere else. Are people plotting this against me, or something?
3. When someone repeats something or asks a question, right after it has been said or answered. This tends to happen a lot in class. I seriously feel that sometimes I'm the only person listening!

2. When people LEAVE MY BATHROOM LIGHT ON. Okay, sorry for the caps and bold (that's when you know it's intense), but I swear everybody does this. Sometimes people swear they only do it in my house, and never anywhere else. Are people plotting this against me, or something?
3. When someone repeats something or asks a question, right after it has been said or answered. This tends to happen a lot in class. I seriously feel that sometimes I'm the only person listening!

The Little Things: Manners
The little things that you do for someone can really make a difference; not only on a first impression, but also may brighten someone's day. I am one of those people who notice everything: when someone opens the door for me, when someone says "bless you", when someone says "thank you", bows, or even shakes my hand firmly.
A strange experience happened to me a while ago. It occurred while I was on my way walking to my next class on a chilly fall morning. In front of me was one of the school's--well, scarier upper class man. He was notorious for calling someone out for their sexuality, bullying freshmen, and getting in trouble with the principal and police for drugs. As he laid his hand the door, he saw me in the reflection of the window. Then he opened the door, stepped out of the frame, and politely held the door for me while motioning for me to enter. I smiled, nodded, and said thank you.
Is it rude to say that I was, honestly, shocked?

Lonely, Shy, Self image
Honestly, there's nothing worse than the feeling of loneliness. It engulfs us even in a room full of the most loud, talkative people. Truthfully, I've found myself to feel lonely due to the intensity of my shyness. Never accept it. Never let someone else's words influence your own actions. Do you know why I'm shy? It's because I have low self-confidence and self-esteem. My mind set has been like this for as long as I can remember. Everything someone says or acts towards me affects me. I'm afraid of what others will think of me. I'm drifting away from my old friends. How I view myself is the worst. I say that I hate when others put themselves down, but I do it the most. Although I'm not the type to speak it out loud, I think about all the time. People wonder why I don't get dressed up ever or wear makeup or have those days when I just want to feel pretty. I say it is because I'm a tomboy, or that I have no one to get dressed up for. Consequently nobody knows its because I believe that no matter how much makeup I wear or the clothing trends I follow, I won't look pretty. I never liked my body, my face, my skin, or my hair. I hang around some of the most beautiful girls, inside and out, yet it only makes me feel worse about myself. I constantly put myself down about not reaching the highest grades of the class, or scoring "badly" on a test. I never believe I'm good enough for anything or anyone. I hope someday this can all change and I'll like myself for who I am.
